the Flowages or choose from the other 443 lakes or 623 miles
of trout streams this area offers. A wide variety of fishing
opportunities, from pan fish to trout and game fish await your
discovery, including a fly fishing area just south of us on the
Peshtigo River. Ice fishing is also very popular in this area.
Hunting
Our
area offers both gun and bow season. Species include white tail
deer, bear, wild turkey, grouse, woodcock and small game.
Boating
Rental
of pantoon boats, paddle boats, canoes, fishing boats and motors
are available nearby, with 14 public boat landings on the Flowages.
Swimming
There
are a variety of public parks and beaches in the surrounding
area. There are two beaches within a mile.
Fall Colorama
From
mid-September to mid-October, come see the north woods aflame
with color.
ATV Trails
Marinette
County offers approximately 130 miles of ATV trails.
Snowmobiling
Tommy's
Corner Pub is located right on the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trail with over 100 miles
of trails throughout the flowage area and beyond.
Cross-Country
Skiing
Approximately
40 kilometers of groomed, public trails are in the immediate
area.
Shopping
This
area offers an abundance of antique and gift shops as well as
art galleries and specialty shops for the avid treasure hunter. |
Golf
There
are many top quality golf courses nearby offering a wide range
of layouts and difficulty levels.
Whitewater
Rafting
White
water rafting is just a short drive away. Our area supports one
of the longest, continuous stretches of white water in the midwest.
Trips start early in April and run thru September.
Bicycling
The
"Menominee River Century Ride" and the "Tour de
Colour" bicycling tours are held annually in June and September
respectively. "Marinette County Scenic Bicycle Routes"

Walking
& Hiking Trails
For
those who love to walk, the area offers many trails nearby, including
trails in the Nicolet National Forest and Marinette County Forest.
Water
Ski Shows
Two
local ski teams perform on a regular basis. The Twin Bridge Ski
Club perform on nearby High Falls Flowage and the Crivitz Ski
Cats on Lake Noquebay, just east of Crivitz.

We
are located about a mile from Parkway Road, Wisconsin Rustic
Road #32, ideal for both car and bicycle touring.
Waterfall

Marinette
County is the Waterfall Capitol of Wisconsin, with 14 major waterfalls
inside it's borders. Many are located within the Marinette County
Parks. A Waterfall Map is available.
