Marinette
County maintains 19 county parks, most offering picnic tables,
playgrounds, swimming, fishing and hiking
State Park &
Forest
The
Governor Thompson State Park encompasses the southern shore of
Caldron Falls Flowage, and the Peshtigo River State Forest covers
about 9,000 acres around Caldron and High Falls Flowage.
Nation Forest
The
Nicolet National Forest borders the western edge of Marinette
County, offering unique recreational opportunities to the outdoor
enthusiast.
Hunting
Our
area offers both gun and bow season. Species include white tail
deer, bear, wild turkey, grouse, woodcock and small game.
Fish Hatchery
Trout
rearing station at Thunder Mountain.
Museums
Located
nearby are the Crivitz Area Museum, the Peshtigo Fire Museum
and Logging Museums in Marinette and Wabeno.
Fall Colorama
From
mid-September to mid-October, come see the north woods aflame

Walking & Hiking
Trails
There
are a multitide of established trails in the area both in the
National Forest and on Marinette County Parks & Forest lands.
ATV Trails
Marinette
County offers approximately 130 miles of ATV trails.
Swimming
There
are a variety of public parks and beaches in the surrounding
area.
Boating
There
are many public boat launches on both Flowages as well as on
smaller lakes in the area. Rental of pantoon boats, canoes and
fishing boats and motors are available in the immediate area.
Bicycling
The
"Menominee River Century Ride" and the "Tour de
Colour" bicycling tours are held annually in June and September
respectively. "Marinette County Scenic Bicycle Routes"

Rustic Road Tour
We
are located right on Parkway Road, Wisconsin Rustic Road #32,
ideal for both car and bicycle touring.
