The Peshtigo River

The Peshtigo is a river of many faces, appealing to almost anyone's ability level. In spring and early summer, melt water and rainstorms swell the river's flow enough to thrill even the hardcore adrenaline seekers. Flows ranging from 300 to 3,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) and beyond can turn the Class II Rapids into Class III-IV wild water.

If you prefer a milder ride, late spring and summer is the season, when more moderate flows from the many small, spring fed creeks and tributaries make the river just right for first time rafters, families, and scout groups. There are plenty of fun rapids like in the spring, just a little milder.

The local outfitters that offer whitewater rafting on the Peshtigo River are dedicated to offering solid instruction, professional guides, and the latest in safety equipment. All outfitters offer half-day trips, camping and other amenities. Trips are surprisingly affordable, and you can have an adventure that will become a cherished memory.

Many of our customers have become old friends, returning year after year, lured by the river's beauty, excitement and fun. Won't you join us this year?

From Mild to Wild . . .
The Crivitz area offers exciting whitewater rafting adventure on the incredible Peshtigo River, just thirty minutes northwest of town. People of all ages, from countries around the world have discovered the thrill, excitement and natural beauty of the Peshtigo River.
