Now that the sun is getting higher in the sky and much warmer, our thoughts turn to spring whitewater rafting. The Peshtigo River is an excellent spring whitewater rafting river that is popular with adventurous people from around the word. When the snow melts, the water rises, and the fun begins. There are three well established whitewater outfitters on the Peshtigo River. Each has experienced guides and good equipment to make a spring whitewater rafting trip a blast. Rafting trips are a bargain and affordable for anyone.

Marinette County is a paradise of trout streams and rivers. This year the DNR has opened an early catch and release trout season as of March 1st. Here is a link to the page on their web site. It has been a cold winter and a lot of streams are not open yet. It won't be long though, and I can personally testify that we have some excellent trout fishing around here.
